I am glad to hear that you disavow any affiliation with the Fundamentalists. My point remains that many conservatives do affiliate with and are themselves Fundamentalists. While not all Conservatives are Fundamentalist I would venture to say that all Fundamentalists are Conservative. Therefore it is not implausible that some like me might fear the John Roberts could be a Fundamentalist at heart masquerading as merely a Conservative. It’s important to know in the same way that it was important for you to point out that you are one but not the other. It means something. That’s why it’s important to know…
I think Moyers is correct in saying that the GOP has become the party of theocracy. You non-Fundamentalist Conservatives in the GOP – if you are, in fact, a Republican – either don’t understand the implications of the GOP’s takeover by Fundamentalists or don’t care or are powerless to stop it. Which is it I wonder…
